Kim Heldman is an accomplished author and speaker. Her first book-writing venture was a study guide written for Sybex Books, Inc. titled PMP Project Management Professional Study Guide. This study guide prepares readers to take the Project Management Professional (PMP®) exam conducted by the Project Management Institute (PMI®). This study guide is now in its fourth edition and we're anticipating publication of the 5th edtion in late May or early June 2009.

In addition to the Study Guide, Kim has also written other books on the topic of project management including Excel 2007 for Project Managers, Project Management JumpStart (Second Edition), and Project Manager's Spotlight on Risk Management.

Kim is an excellent speaker who is able to entertain and engage her audiences in the topic at hand and leave them with several word pictures, tips, and hints they can take back and apply immediately to their situation.

 
 
Kim holds a Masters Degree from Regis University. She has been a certified Project Management Professional since 2001 and has over 19 years of experience managing information technology projects. She is employed full time as the Deputy State Chief Enterprise Architect for the State of Colorado, and the Chief Information Officer for the Colorado Department of Transportation. She lives in Lakewood, Colorado with her husband, Bill, three grown children, and two grandchildren.
